Rob Sawyer, MD

is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and enlisted in the Army after high school. He is a veteran of the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Central Florida with a degree in Biology, and completed medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He then went on to complete his residency in Family Medicine at Martin Army Community Hospital in Ft. Benning, Georgia.

After multiple combat tours in the Middle East, he completed his fellowship in pain management at Brooke Army Medical Center in Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. He is double board-certified in Family Medicine and Pain Management with the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Sawyer retired from the Army as a lieutenant colonel after 25 years of service and is proud to now call Las Vegas home.

Dr. Sawyer strongly believes that restoring functionality is just as important as relieving pain. While Dr. Sawyer has a passion for staying current on the latest advanced procedures in Pain Medicine, he is firmly dedicated to providing the right treatment plans for his patients based on shared goals and shared decisions. He has a passion for educating his patients on the nature of their “pain generators” and taking the time to thoroughly discuss treatment options.

In his off time, Dr. Sawyer likes to snowboard, paddleboard, hike, and work out. He enjoys exploring all that Las Vegas has to offer as well as traveling to new cities and countries.
